OIT Service Desk
To better serve our students, faculty and staff we have partnered with an outside provider to offer 24/7 technical support by calling (585) 385-8016. The walk-up service desks, located in the Academic Computing Center in the basement of Kearney and the Learning Commons on the first floor of the library, are open:
- Kearney K053-weekdays 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. when classes are in session.
- Library main floor-weekdays 7:45 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

We are dedicated to providing consistent information technology support to the St. John Fisher College faculty, staff and students. Student Help Desk Job Description
Requires a friendly personality who can provide technical assistance and interact with students, faculty, and staff. The ability to work with frequent interruptions and multi-task in a fast paced environment, while providing excellent customer service. Provide support and information on a multitude of topics. Intermediate knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office and college online services is required.
If you can work at least 10 hours per week, enjoy helping others and are looking for professional work experience, the OIT Service Desk is the place for you!
The OIT Service Desk provides students with 20+ hours of paid training as well as continued on the job training.

What is your roll?
You are the first line of defense and you represent the department of OIT. You will provide support to faculty, staff, and students by assisting our customers with their technology needs both on and off campus.
