Project 2010 Basics

The ribbon comes to Project 2010 along with the Backstage view, If you have ever been responsible for coordinating a variety of tasks that had to be completed within a specific time frame, you have acted as a project manager. Keeping track of all details, tasks, resources, and costs can be quite a challenge. Explore the Microsoft Office Project environment and learn how to create a new project plan, manage tasks, costs and resources for a project. The Team Planner is a resource scheduling view, allowing you to view what your team members are working on, move tasks from one person to another all from one efficient view. The Timeline view is displayed above other views allowing for a concise overview of the entire schedule and the control your schedule can be done manually, Project won’t move it in an attempt to help you anymore with the improved User-Controlled scheduling feature. These additional improvements and the backward compatibility make using Project 2010 easier for a Project Manager.
